Senior Phase — Grades 7 to 9

Age Group: Typically for students aged 12 to 15 years. Grades: Grades 7 to 9. Focus: This phase transitions learners to more specialised subjects; students can select elective subjects while continuing core studies. The goal is to prepare learners for the Further Education and Training (FET) Phase.

Subject choice & deeper learning

Senior Phase introduces elective options while strengthening core knowledge. Learners engage in subject-specific projects, practicals and research that help them make informed choices for the FET phase.
